Sudden Cardiac Arrest survival rates historically have been poor, but the last several years have seen an increase due to improvements in bystander CPR and AED deployment. Along with these improvements come sensational and inspiring stories which tell the tale of the miracle of survival.
Every year the American Heart Association estimates approximately 6,000 youths under the age of 18 go into sudden cardiac arrest.
Wonderful and heroic first responders across the world are trained to act quickly upon arriving at a scene, making immediate life-and-death decisions almost as if their skills were instinctually bestowed upon them.
