AED Superstore Grant Help Page

In addition to our AED Superstore Grant, local, state, and federal governments sometimes make grant funding available for AEDs. Though finding these grants for your AED program can require an investment of both time and energy, the effort may be worthwhile.

Government Funding
For federal funding options we recommend the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance.

Private Funding
For funding from private organizations we recommend the Foundation Center.

Proposal Development
A written proposal is almost always required to apply for a grant. For assistance in writing an effective proposal, you can find excellent instructions and examples at Miner and Associates.

Additional Resources
A grant project can take weeks or months to complete. If your needs are more immediate, we suggest looking toward civic groups such as your local Lions Clubs, Moose Lodges, Elks Clubs, Kiwanis, Rotary Clubs, and Masonic Temples. If your project is aimed at the well-being of children, a local Optimist Club could also be a source.

Churches often look directly to their own congregations for help. We know of several large churches and synagogues which have collected enough money during a single service to fund the purchase of their AEDs!

If you are a non-profit serving children in midwest and western states, you may qualify for assistance through the Union Pacific Foundation.

The Wal-Mart Foundation has a Community & Giving Program which provides assistance to improve the lives of individuals in their communities.

Also, the Target Foundation sponsors grants for K-12 schools and other non-profit organizations.

Beware of False Grant Schemes
Unfortunately, some AED dealers may advertise a brand-name AED, then ask customers to complete an extensive “grant” application to become eligible to save hundreds of dollars. As a result, customers may release confidential information, waste valuable time filling out unnecessary forms, and end up paying more for an AED than if it were purchased outright from a reputable dealer.

We strongly recommend avoiding grant schemes offered directly by AED dealers. Reputable companies like AED Superstore have prices below so-called grant specials, and with no extensive forms to complete.

Contact AED Superstore for Assistance
We hope the information above helps should you require funding for your AED purchase. Once you receive funding, please remember to look to AED Superstore where you will find friendly assistance and enjoy the best selection and prices for all major brands of AEDs and accessories.

our small community out in the country served by only 1 road in and out that floods when it rains, have realized that we need to help ourselves. We are in the process of establishing a volunteer fire department, have the land and are now working on the next steps. We also have a swimming pool, small children around and many elderly residents and recognize the need for AED equipment. The EMS service has offered to train residents.
