Update: Philips Onsite & FRx Upgrade Deadline
Important Note: If you have a Philips Heartstart OnSite, Home, or FRx AED that is still running the older AHA Guidelines, time is running out to get your AED upgraded to the newer AHA 2005 Guidelines for CPR.
Philips Healthcare will stop accepting upgrade orders for OnSite, Home, and FRx AEDs on 12/31/2009. Make sure to submit your upgrade order before this date!
Philips will send an upgraded AED first and then you will send back your old AED. This will allow you to keep the defibrillator in service at all times. Follow this link to download your upgrade forms (PDFor Excel).

I have a Phillips FRX AED Trainer. Am contemplating purchasing the internal adapter to use with the AED trainer for the :Little Anne” manikin instead of the metal strip that goes across the chest (confuses students). How successful have the internal adapters been? What is their track record?

Ina,
The internal adapter is designed to be used with the FRx trainer and the Laerdal Little Anne or Resusci Anne CPR Training manikins. It can also be used with the Prestan line of CPR Training manikins. It is more realistic than the external adapter. We have used the internal adapter in our training sessions and it works very well.
Good luck, and thanks for the inquiry!
