National CPR/AED Awareness Week
The week of June 1 – 7 is National CPR/AED Awareness Week. During this week, and throughout the month of June, AED Superstore would like to stress the importance of learning CPR, and awareness of AEDs.
The AHA’s “Hands-Only” method of CPR has simplified the life-saving technique by placing the emphasis on chest compressions and keeping the blood flowing to vital organs. Without the complication of rescue breaths, which may cause trepidation by some, more potential rescuers are willing to attempt CPR.
AEDs are becoming more prominent in many locations, but it is important to have knowledge of their location and operation. AEDs are exceedingly simple to use, but having some hands-on training can go a long way toward easing some of the angst in a highly stressful situation.
The AHA (American Heart Association) advocates the “Chain of Survival” which lists the 5 critical links in the emergency treatment of SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest):
Early Access to Care; Early CPR; Early Defibrillation (AED); Early Advanced Care; Post Care.
To achieve greater success in administering to these links, AED Superstore and Annuvia recommend training in CPR/AED. To help you achieve that goal, we are offering $50.00 off AHA CPR/AED and First Aid Training Classes (on groups of 10 or more). To get the discount you must purchase before 6/30/14.
