Introducing the Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5

Let’s take a look at the overall design of the Powerheart G5 AED. The face of the device shows a large, easy-to-read Rescue Ready™ status indicator and you can view the expiration date of the electrode pads through a special window in the lid. Under the lid is where the newest innovations can be found.

You can change the language of the audio and text prompts from English to Spanish (or vice versa) with the touch of a button, at any point during the rescue. Amazing. The AED features a USB port which makes rescue data downloads and software upgrades easier than ever. The Intellisense® electrodes can sense when CPR motion has ceased, which allows the G5 AED to deliver the post-CPR shock in 10 seconds or less.

Speaking of the electrode pads, unlike most other AEDs, the G5 can actually track the expiration date of the electrode pads and proactively alert you when they expire. We’ve seen tons of AEDs in public with expired electrode pads – and we know G5 purchasers now won’t be among them.

Let’s talk about rugged. The G5 has an ingress protection rating against dust and water of IP55 and even has an 8-year warranty!. It has been tested to military specifications for drop and vibration.
