AEDs have been around for awhile, now. Their design has made them simple to use, for professionals as well as for the layperson. Even though they are not as sparse as they once were, there are still needs to be met in both the workplace and the community. It is easy to see where AED placement would be beneficial. Having AEDs in medical & dental clinics, rescue & transport vehicles, and convalescent centers makes sense, right? How about airports, fitness clubs, schools, churches? In December of 2007 our Congress declared the first week of June as National CPR/AED Awareness week. This week has been designated to help bring the importance of CPR and AED training to the public. The impetus of this designation is to spread the word: Train more people in CPR/AED, save more lives!
