AHA Achieving Accuracy: BP Measurement eLearning Course. This is a web-based eLearning course that has been developed jointly by the AHA and the American Medical Association. This course is for competency training and is focused on obtaining proper in-office blood pressure (BP) measurement. The course has been designed to educate healthcare professionals on how to accurately measure BP on all three BP measurement devices: manual, semi-automated, and automated. This course also aims to help clinicians achieve competence and consistently accurate BP measurement and to improve confidence in their ability to better identify patients at risk for hypertension.

Course content includes:
  • Recognizing the latest BP categories
  • Consistently and accurately taking BP measurements
  • Discussing BP with patients
  • Improving patient care
